Clamping Followed by Stretching? Yes or No?

What do you think about the combination of clamping and stretching? Should I do some stretching exercises afterwards or not?

One set of clamping followed by a half an hour to one hour of extending could work.

I believe this is the contradiction of length versus girth exercises and should not be done back to back in this manner. Maybe stretch beforehand to allow for a more elastic reaction.
